Kanchenjunga Trekking
 Being the second highest mountain in Nepal and the third highest mountain in the world after Mount K2 of Pakistan, Mount Kanchenjunga’s popularity as a mountain and a trekking destination is quite normal. Mount Kanchenjunga’s altitude is 8586 meters above the sea level, third only to the Mount Everest. Kanchenjunga Trek is one of the popular trekking routes in Nepal and is extremely popular route in the Himalayan nation. It is located in the north-eastern part of Nepal and it lies along the border between Nepal and India. The entire trekking trail of the Kanchenjunga Trek are marked all the way through as well as something like the Arun River whose source is believed to be dating back to the primitive age. Detailed Itinerary
Day 01: Arrival at the Tribhuvan International Airport (TIA), Kathmandu
You will be welcomed by our team members at the Airport and then transferred to Hotel. Our travel representatives will give brief details about the travel itinerary upon your arrival in Kathmandu. You will be staying at a hotel in Kathmandu the very first day.

Day 02: Sightseeing Kathmandu
On the second day of the tour package, you will be sightseeing around the Capital city of Kathmandu. Several world heritage sites are present in Kathmandu Valley including the Basantapur Durbar square, Swayambhunath Temple, and many other temple and monuments. Overnight stay at a hotel.

Day 03: Flight to Suketar (Taplejung), trek to Jogidanda
On the third day, we take a flight to Biratnagar from Kathmandu. The flight takes about 35 minutes. Another subsequent flight from Biratnagar takes us to Suketar in Taplejung. Suketar is one of the most attractive areas of the eastern part of Nepal because of its amazing landscape. From Taplejung we will move to Jogidanda. It is the first destination of our nearly three weeks of trek. Overnight stay at a guesthouse.

Day 04: Trek to Chirwa (1800m) 6hrs
We will move for the trek in Chirwa on 4th day from Jogidanda. Trek to Chirwa (1800m) takes about 7 hours. The road that follows Chirwa is not easy as we need to pass through jungles, narrow roads and streams. Sometimes we need to climb and sometimes descend. This is a small town wherever you can find local shops for camping and lodges. Overnight stay at a guesthouse.

Day 05: Trek to Sukathum (1660m) 6hrs
Trekking from Chirwa to Sukathuthum takes around six hours. Our trek starts along the bank of river and need to pass from small jungles. On the way we can find different types of vegetation and plants. The track leads to uphill at some places and downhill at some. When we cross a bridge which is a local suspension bridge we reach to Sukathum. Overnight stay at guesthouse

Day 06: Trek to Amjilosa (2510m) 5hrs
From Sakathum to Amjilosa it covers 900 meters of altitude and takes almost 5 hours. Initially our trek will be easy as we move through the flat land. Then our trek takes a form of steep uphill when you climb towards Amjilosa. It is a small rural area with few inhabitants and local shops known as “Bhattis” and teashops. Overnight stay at a guesthouse.

Day 07: Trek to Kyapar (2730m) 6hrs
Trek to Kyapar (2730m) takes six hours from Amjilosa. The beginning trail that leads to Kyapar is through the flatland but as we climb to Gyable where we can see the settlement of natives. The trek is quite interesting as we pass through the jungles. Most of the people who live in this area follow Buddhist culture. Overnight stay at guesthouse.

Day 08: Trek to Ghunsa (3695m) 6hrs
Trek from Kyapar to Ghunsa (3695m) takes around six hours. On the way we get to see a river called Gunsa as we pass through the jungles. The track leads to the settlement of the traditional inhabitants of the region. Seeing the inhabitants, one can easily guess that people follow Tibetan culture by birth. Here people are engaged in business like goods import and export in Tibet. In winter season they go to India for business. Overnight stay at a guesthouse.

Day 09: Trek to Kambachen (4099m) 7hrs
After having breakfast in the morning we resume our trek on the ninth day as we head towards Kambachen (4099m) from Ghunsa. It normally takes around seven hours. Kambachen is a dense settlement of people who follow Tibetan culture. You will be fascinated with the art and architecture of Kambachen that are inspired from Tibetan cultures. Away from the slide, the track drops at Lakep, a single hut which is locked. Overnight stay at a guesthouse.

Day 10: Explore the Kambachen, rest day (4099m)
On the 10th day of the itinerary of Kanchenjunga Trek, we will only explore the Kambachen area as the day has been allotted for rest, acclimatization and exploration of the unique region of the Kambachen. We will spend the remaining day enjoying the place and resting for the trip ahead. Overnight stay at a guesthouse.

Day 11: Trek to Lhonak (4785m) 6hrs
Trek to Lhonak (4785m) is a suitable place to trek for trekkers as it lies near by a dry lake as if it looks like a bed with unlocked, pure sand. You can enjoy wonderful mountains from all the sides. People who are come from urban areas particularly would love to see it. Overnight stay at a guesthouse.

Day 12: Trek to Pangpema (5143m) 5hrs
The terrific view of peak that you missed from Lhonak can be viewed from Pangpema (5143m), the base camp. The stunning peak which is considered as a main peak of Kanchenjunga and landscape of remaining peaks which make one of the largest mountains in the world in terms of solo roofless shed is at Pangpema. Overnight stay at a guesthouse.

Day 13: Trek to Kambachen (4099m) 7hrs
By ascending to the north of Pangpema early in the morning, Khanbachen (4040m) can be easily reached in a single day. If you reach in time you will be gifted by Peak Tent, Peak Pyramid and Peak Wedge. Overnight stay at a guesthouse.

Day 14: Trek to Lumba Samba (4206m) 5hrs
On the 14th day we trek to Lumba Samba (4206m) by crossing two passes seeing the conditions of weather either Lapsang La (5180m) or Mirgin La (4500m). Overnight stay at a guesthouse.

Day 15: Trek to Ramche (4580m) 5hrs
Trek to Ramche (4580m) takes around five hours from Lumba Samba. The scenery around the Yalung Glacier is glorious. You may also be attracted by a lake which is frozen, streams which is clear like a crystal and other delighted views too. Ramche is located on a broad and flat zone. Overnight stay at a guesthouse.

Day 16: Trek to Cheram (3870m) 6hrs
Trekking until Cheram (3870m) from Ramche requires 6-7 hours. Trekking to Cheram is not an easy trekking as you need to pass all the way from the places like desert and stone trace. The lane is inclining from Mirgin La toward Cheram. On the way of your trekking you will be blessed with the views of glaciers like Lapsang and Mirgin along with mountains which are covered with snow. You can find many stone roof and huts. Overnight stay at a guesthouse.

Day 17: Trek to Tortong (2995m) 7hrs
On the 17th day of the itinerary, you will move to Tortong (2995m) from Cheram. The trek begins from the forest but it does not end there. Again you have to cross the landslides so that you can go for the trek to Tortong. Slowly peaks start to come into view after some distances the same as you go further for the climb. Overnight stay at a guesthouse.

Day 18: Trek to Yamphudin (2080m) 8hrs
Hike to Yamphudin (2080m) requires around 8 – 9 hours from Tortong. The hiking starts after you take a walk into the jungles. Seeing the landslides on the way one should not get frustrated as Yamphudin trek is a trek to rejoice where you can see mixed and diverse communities of people belonging to Limbu, Sherpas, Gurung and Rai ethnic groups. In the midst of the village you can see the fields of rice and corn. Moreover, there is a village with schools and shops where they supply in a negotiable price. Overnight stay in a guest house.

Day 19: Trek to Anpan (2040m) 6hrs
The next day, we resume our trek to Anpan as we continue the downhill trek. At first you have to go downward so that you can get over from the Omje Khola half of the way. From here we move upward from orchid plants and jungles. Now, you are close with native settlement where you can view different styles of houses that are small and thatched. Following the ‘Khola’ named as Kabeli and walking a little bit further takes us to Anpan. Overnight stay at a guesthouse.

Day 20: Trek to Tembewa Height (2000m) 6hrs
On this day of itinerary trekking package, you should be ready for trek to Tembewa Height (2000m). This is another beautiful spot designed for trekking. The time for trek to Tembewa Height is around 7 hours. Overnight stay at a guesthouse.

Day 21: Trek to Taplejung or Surkhet (1780m- 2300m) 6hrs
Trek to Taplejung or Surkhet is the final walking day according to our itinerary trekking package. It takes around 6 hours for the trek. Overnight stay at a guesthouse.

Day 22: Drive to Kathmandu
Upon having breakfast, we will first reach to Biratnagar either from Surkhet or Taplejung via a regular flight. From Biratnagar, we will take another flight to Kathmandu. Upon our arrival at Kathmandu, we rest for the rest of the day. Overnight stay in a hotel.

Day 23: Departure from TIA, “Farewell”!!!
The final day of the tour package where the trip ends, you will return to your own country via the international Airport in Kathmandu.
